Derrumbes Durango Mezcal 700ml (45.1%)
Derrumbes Durango is produced from agave Cenizo (Durangesis) in the remote village of Nombre de Dios. This small village is starting to make a big name for itself in the world of Mezcal. Maestro mezcalero Antonio Panuco "El Tigre" has struck a beautiful balance between sweet dark fruit flavours and minerality. Fermentation in this region is done underground because of cold nights using natural yeast in wooden boxes and finally distilled in a unique hybrid wood-copper still.
Floral and earthy – there’s pollen, cut flower stems, wet clay, papaya, maple syrup and bubblegum. A bit of parmesan cheese funk.
Taste : Turns to sweet and fruity, with mango, strawberry, wildflower honey, and a bit of minerality tying things together. Medium bodied.
